Angel Wright-Warner

Angel began her training at the Gail Meade Performing Arts Centre at the age of 2. There she studied the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet Syllabus from Pre-Primary through to Advanced 2, receiving high marks in all units. During this time she also studied the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) in all styles including; Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Advanced Pointe and Theatrical. Angel received the State Award for the Sub-Elementary Ballet Exam in 2015.

In 2014, Angel was invited by the Australian Ballet School to attend their Interstate and International Training Programme, ITP Invitee Programme, which allowed her to spend time training the Vaganova Ballet Syllabus and their Contemporary Syllabus.

At the age of 14 she began full-time training in Ballet, Contemporary and Theatrical. During this time she trained in the Cecchetti Ballet Syllabus and was trained by Prima Ballerinas; Dame Lucette Aldous and Margaret Illman.

Between the ages of 12 to 16, Angel performed in leading roles in a range of Perth City Ballet’s productions. Here she danced in ballet performances such as; Giselle, Swan Lake, Don Quixote and George Balanchine’s’ production of William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

In 2017-2018, Angel studied a Diploma in Dance, specialising in Ballet and Contemporary, at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). This time allowed her to work with creative, incredible and well-respected mentors including Kim McCarthy and Jayne Smulders.

Angel will soon be receiving her RAD qualifications, which will allow our students to sit their examinations. Angel currently holds her Working with Children Check. She is excited to be working closely with our beautiful students, helping further their knowledge and passion for Dance.
